- For Student
UD Online brings the University of Delaware to you! Students may use the Distance Learning Application to apply for online degree programs. Course requirements for UD Online/distance learning courses are the same as for on-campus courses. There is no distinction on student transcripts or an earned diploma between on-campus and UD Online courses and degrees, only the delivery format is different. UD Online students access their courses on the Web through an easy-to-use course management system. Courses may include all or some of the following instructional delivery methods: video streamed class lectures, video clips, audio components, guided readings, chatrooms, interactive web activities, and threaded discussions. Instructors are available to assist students according to their course policy either via email, by phone, or in person.
Access to email and high-speed Internet is required for all UD Online classes. A small number of courses require scheduled virtual class meetings using a microphone and headset, videoconferencing, or are completely self-directed. A list of online programs is available at the Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) website. If you have questions regarding technical requirements for a specific course, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
